IP Address Disclosure to Amazon

When you use our Service to fetch keyword suggestions from Amazon, your browser communicates directly with Amazon's API using your personal IP address through our Chrome extension.

🟢 Chrome Extension Method

When you use our Chrome extension with the web app, your browser communicates directly with Amazon's API using your personal IP address.

What Amazon sees: Your browser's IP address when you make keyword search requests.

Why We Disclose This

It's important you understand that when using our Service:

  • Amazon can see your IP address: Amazon's systems will log your IP address when you make API requests
  • Better performance: Direct browser-to-Amazon communication provides fast response times
  • Distributed rate limiting: Each user has their own IP, avoiding shared IP restrictions
  • Chrome extension required: You must install our Chrome extension to use the keyword research tool

Transparency

We believe in transparency about how your data flows. By using our Chrome extension, you maintain control over your keyword research while your browser communicates directly with Amazon's API using your IP address.

We use your information solely to provide and improve our service:

Chrome Extension Data Practices

Permissions We Request

  • Storage: To save your extension settings and preferences locally
  • Amazon Domains: To fetch keyword suggestions from Amazon's autocomplete API directly from your browser
  • External Messaging: To communicate with our web app (feederr.co) for integrated keyword research functionality

Web App ↔ Extension Communication

When you use the keyword research tool on our web app with the Chrome extension installed, the extension communicates with the web page to:

  • Receive keyword requests: The web app sends keyword search requests to the extension
  • Fetch from Amazon: The extension makes API calls to Amazon directly from your browser using your IP address
  • Return results: The extension sends keyword suggestions back to the web app for display

Security & Privacy

The extension only responds to messages from our official web app domains (feederr.co, www.feederr.co). All communication stays between your browser and our web app - we do not transmit this data to external servers.

User Consent

The Chrome extension only accesses Amazon pages when you explicitly use the keyword research tool. We do not track your browsing activity or collect data from pages you visit outside of using our Service. By installing the extension and using it on our web app, you consent to the extension making API calls to Amazon on your behalf using your IP address.

Cookies and Local Storage

Cookies We Use

  • Authentication Cookies: To maintain your login session (essential, cannot be disabled)
  • Preference Cookies: To remember your settings (e.g., selected Amazon marketplace)
